Our mission is to forge a competition that will launch the careers of faith based writers and filmmakers and facilitate established artists in transitioning into faith based films; and to introduce faith based films to mass audiences, ultimately, giving them the same multi platform release schedules and revenue streams that traditional studio films and high end independent films enjoy; and to inspire, showcase, support, and develop writers and filmmakers of all faith’s to make great faith based films that leave others touched, moved and inspired; and filmmakers and distributors empowered to make and distribute more films with an element of faith.
Our aim is to open doors for writers and filmmakers with a higher purpose. Last year's winner received a 1 hour consultation with Chris Deckard from Fictional Entity.
Faith in Film rewards screenwriters with various prizes, including distribution to A-list agents, producers, managers and executives that represent the top talent in the faith based market. We literally deliver your scripts to most of the top faith based producers in the world!
Please note that only our Grand Prize Winner and top two Finalists will receive industry distribution and prizes. Semi-Finalists will only be rewarded by recognition like in most screenwriting competitions.
All entries must have an element of faith. They don't have to be based on faith, but they must have an element of it. It can be any faith from any part of the world, practiced by people of any nationality and or ethnicity as long as your characters' faith empowers them to make powerful choices for themselves, their loved ones, and their communities.
We will not accept entries that put down or denigrate other religions and or put one faith above another. We embrace people of all faith's and this festival is a celebration of, not only faith, but the diversity of spiritual paths and variety of wonderful faiths that lead will lead us all to salvation and peace on Earth.
