NOVA Student Film Festival International (NSFF-International) is a non-competitive film festival of short films open to all Northern Virginia Community College students from all fields of study (NOT just film students).
NSFF - International is a traveling festival. Films that are selected for the festival will also be screened at partnering educational institutions around the world.
Film students from around the world are also invited to submit their films for consideration in the "Films Without Walls" section of our festival. Film students must provide name of school they are attending. Failure to provide the name of school you are attending will result in entry being disqualified.
The Films Without Walls section has a yearly theme. For films that would like to be considered for the 2020 "Films Without Walls" series in our festival - This year's festival theme is: Women in Society
The festival explores different themes each year. Please check the announced theme for the year on our web site: https://blogs.nvcc.edu/nsff/
Two films are awarded each year:
Dean's Award for Cinematic Distinction & The Joe Windham Award for Cinematic Activism
