Hideki Onodera Montaño
Born in Mexico and of Japanese descent, he studied and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Film at the Universidad de la Comunicación in 2021.
He worked in directing and editing educational/cultural videos for the Mexico Japanese Association and the Japan Foundation, in various positions in professional productions such as the videoart "Novacene", the film "No Porque me Enamoro", as the editor for the MexFutura's music video "Rasgar / Entre Restos", as a producer, director, and editor for social networks videos for the International Nikkei Youth Event Vibra Joven and in various positions in student short films.
This short film is an exploration of my history and my family's story. Trying to understand the question "where does our story begins and ends?".
I've always believed that we're here thanks to those who came before us and every day we're writing a new page on our story in hopes that those who will come after us tell our memories.
No one is really gone as long as we keep telling their stories and keep the memories close to our hearts.
