Alec Lemonde grew up in a small town in the province of Quebec, between two railroads, surrounded by cornfields and the Transcanadian Highway. He is currently doing a BFA in Film Production at Concordia University.
"My Car's got a tape player" is about not knowing how to deal with the death of someone you are supposed to be close with. It's about the materiality of memory and detachment. I based the script on very personal events and all the locations are from my hometown.
