Stephen Wetzel is an artist and Associate Professor in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Over the past several decades Steve has produced over a dozen works of experimental and observational documentary (anthromentary) including Men's Hockey (2003); From the Archives of an Inventor (2009); and Aquarius the Waterman (2018). Wetzel’s creative and research interests, found in both his video work and writing (published by the Green Gallery Press), include ethnography, the social construction of reality, and the rendering of everyday life. Currently in production is a series of videos about his brother Phil, including an adaptation of King Lear starring Phil—a project Phil knows nothing about, unawares and such.
