My Arena Is Mexico
My Arena is Mexico is a short documentary that explores Mexican identity through stories of ordinary citizens. Using lucha libre (mexican wrestling) as a metaphor, the documentary unveils how the relentless pursuit of personal passions intricately shapes one's identity, offering a profound reflection on the essence of what it means to be Mexican.
Through the life of “Lazarina la Grande”, a wrestling photographer, and the voices of méxico city residents, the documentary provides profound insight into the formation of identity and the pursuit of self-betterment within the rich tapestry of mexican culture.
