Born and raised in Thornton, Colorado Jacob has directed three projects, Just the Three of Us, The Twisted Three, and Mute. Outside of school, Jacob is involved in the local Colorado film industry and has worked on various projects from music videos, corporate, commercial, and narrative films.
I adapted and directed this film, Mute, after a friend, Harrison, referred me to Stephen King’s Dollar Baby website. This website gives people an opportunity to buy the limited rights to adapt a Stephen King short story for only a dollar. After King’s office accepted my proposal, we went to work. The script underwent many alterations for six months until, finally, we settled on the main structure. Moreover, the problems with COVID-19 proved to be the most significant obstacle during production. Our crew was restricted to five people, with at most two actors on set. Mute would not be complete if it weren’t for my talented and excellent crew, actors, friends, and faculty who helped me along the way.
