Gorilla River is excited to announce the inaugural Music Video Film Festival taking place Saturday night February 8, 2020 at the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center.

Building off of the popularity of the inaugural Hudson Valley Music Summit, a full day music conference for industry professionals in the Northeast which ran this summer in Kingston NY, the Music Video Film Festival provides a deeper look at how visionary artists are putting together the whole package to present their music in the 21st century.

You recognize that video plays plays a critical role in allowing musicians to fully express themselves as artists and capture the attention of fans. We are looking forward to showcasing the best examples at next year's Hudson Valley Music Summit. In 2019, we were proud to host Dennis Dunaway who presented his rock and roll short film "Cold Cold Coffin." Next year, it could be you as we feature the winners of this festival.

Artists who are accepted will be given a 15-20 minute slot which will roughly break down to a five minute introduction where the director/band will share the concept or production of the film. Next the audience will watch the video. Finally, judges will share feedback in a spirit of fun and creativity.

The Music Video Film Festival focuses solely on Music Videos and we're excited to include the winners as part of the programming of the 2020 Hudson Valley Music Summit. Learn more at www.HudsonValleyMusicSummit.com.

Top three winners will be screened at the 2020 Hudson Valley Music Summit with an opportunity for director and bands to explain the concept to an audience of 200 artist managers, A&R reps, publicists, musicians, promo directors, journalists and more..

Winners will also receive complimentary admission for the director and up to five band members (no substitutions) to attend the Hudson Valley Music Summit. Admission to last year's event was $230 per person on the day of the event.

*All submissions will be sent a discount code for one person to use their film festival submission fee towards registration for the Hudson Valley Music Summit (if you submit for $25, you can register one person for a $25 discount off of the rate at the time you register). In other words, submission is free for anyone who plans to attend the 2020 Hudson Valley Music Summit.
