Dan Horrigan is a writer-director with screenings at over 100 festivals worldwide. Murder Song is his return to the horror genre, adapting an avant-garde experimental aesthetic inspired by the play that influenced Mernau's Nosferatu. The sense of paranoia and creeping dread of the original source material is as potent as ever. And it proves poverty catalyses tragedy.
Murder Song is a corruscating line of flight along a psychosis wrapped in a horror skin with an avant-garde blood stream. Adapted from Buchner's seminal play Woyzeck, it is an auditory and oracular barrage held fast by the visceral performances of Nick and Nathalia.
