Patricia White (Creator, Talent, Writer, Director & Producer)
Patricia has thrived for 26 years as a classroom teacher guiding children and young adults into their most creative selves. When away from the classroom or nurturing a family of four, Patricia has been prolific, creating award-winning films, librettos, sketch comedy, and more.
Patricia wrote, directed, and produced her LB indie feature film, Victims (available on Amazon now). Her award-winning musical, Hearts of the Hollow, brings Washington Irving’s famous tale “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” into a modern musical.
Patricia comes alive most at the intersection of creativity and collaboration. Among her most favorite hobbies are writing poetry, meditating, painting, hiking, listening to music, and performing in community theatre. Patricia lives in Somers, New York, with her husband, two kids, a cat, a dog, and an adorable tarantula.
I wanted to provide for children what I had as a child. The simplicity and gentleness of shows from yesteryear are desperately needed in this fast-paced and challenging world that children face today. As a teacher, I know and understand how children respond to learning, and they need to be a part of it. My show invites them into the world - not just as viewers, but as active participants in their own cognitive, creative, and emotional development.
Nine segments of adventure, learning, and play allow children to discover about their world and become inspired to pursue their future goals. The main characters are a warm and nurturing teacher, Mrs. Whittle, a shy bookworm, Tilly, and a spirited young friend, Connor. The show combines a nostalgic and timeless vibe with 21 century relatability and content.
