Mr. What's It To ya
Jorden is an outsider in a small, ever-snowing town who observes random people as his strange way of social interaction. One day, during one of his observational outings, a woman named Rose strikes up a conversation with him like he's never had before and his lonesome life seems to turn a new leaf. In this twisted romance short film, Jorden and Rose play a game of "cat and mouse" to see if a blossoming romance or a doomed disaster is in store.

Ryan is an up-and-coming Director and Sound Designer whose passion for music and story inspires his melancholic and quirky style. He started creating funny YouTube videos in middle school and continued to study film at Orange County School of the Arts. After creating various music videos and shorts in high school, Ryan built up a strong portfolio with a variety of work which got him into film school at Biola University. There, he excelled in his exploration of sound and music in film, which is how he made a name for himself in college. With all this experience, all Ryan wanted to do was make a feature film. So he hatched a plan to create 'Mr. What's It To Ya': His first full short film and senior thesis project that would serve as a proof of concept for a full-length film.
I'm from a small town in Long Island, New York, and I've always been intrigued by how people get involved in each other's business. When you're snowed in your tiny townhome for 5 months out of the year, gossip and secrecy often soothe the boredom. So I wanted to make a film that would capture that feeling and be an exploration of how obsessive habits can lead people's lives down a path of self-destruction. I love mystery and romance and stories that investigate the complexities of human characters. I wanted to capture the comedy of the mundane and the quirks of everyday people. I hope you like the world we have created and enjoy the film.
