Mr.Huang

Mr.Huang, a truck driver who is legally the guardian, travels north to accompany his daughter, whom he hasn't seen for many years, to apply for a student loan for her university education. He pretends to have forgotten to bring his identification card, hoping to use this as an opportunity to spend more time with his daughter.

Director Biography - Yen Chi Huang

Born in Changhua, Taiwan in 1992, I graduated from the Graduate Institute of Film Creation at Taipei National University of the Arts. My works often revolve around themes such as family, youth, and female growth. I hold the belief that creators can capture fleeting moments of the human heart through shared imagination, creating stories that bring courage and a sense of happiness to the public.

Director Statement

This short film is inspired by my personal experience with my biological father. I was separated from my father at a young age and raised by my adoptive parents. During this time, my biological father attempted to meet me, but his attempts were rejected. Years later, in an attempt to understand my biological father's feelings, I wrote this script. Through this film, I hope to express the emotions I've held for my biological father over the years.
