As a biologist and gardener, I relate to plants. I remembers as a child, wondering what it would be like to be a plant. In my film, Moving Day, I finally make that leap. When I’m not pretending to be a plant, I’m a filmmaker and video game developer. I try to advocate for science in all my projects. My favourite review of one of my video games is “they tricked me into learning”.
This animated film tells the story of Tara, a tiny dandelion seed, as she leaves home to seek her own way in the world. It is based on my conviction that the best way to get the public to embrace science is to weave it into interesting stories. I hope that’s what I’ve accomplished here.
