Nicole is a country mouse from Wyoming, now living in NYC. She graduated cum laude with honors from LIU Post in 2019; awarded the Outstanding Senior in Theater Award. She is committed to creating art that reaches every demographic of people- because art is too important not to be shared. With the pandemic putting everything on pause she decided to camp for three months in her home state. She toured in her mini school bus through some of the most isolated parts of the Rocky Mountain Range. She completed her own book of poetry: Harlem Mouse during her traveling.

An artist’s heart is called upon in times of reconciliation. After the plague came the Renaissance. While grieving what has been lost, I find myself questioning my path, my future. Art can be so polarizing, but in its reemergence, my utmost desire is that artists answer the call to create. As historians we must do our part in healing and holding the cherished glittering memories to the light to be remembered.
