Mount Angel Pilgrim

A film following Sherman, an Oregon poet, on his prayer pilgrimage to Mount Angel. April 25th, 2019, Sherman Arndt and filmmaker Coleman Weimer walked from his apartment in Salem to the Queen of Angels Monastery in Mount Angel, OR. Along the pilgrimage, they offered prayers and Sherman wrote poetry.

This short documentary follows the pilgrimage journey and presents some of Sherman's poetry from the road. Also included is documentation of his personal worship practices as a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Prayer is a subject of particular interest to this film, which captures its necessity and relevance to Sherman's life.

Director Biography - Coleman Weimer

Coleman is an independent filmmaker and artist based near Portland, Oregon. He is finishing his B.A. in Cinematic Arts at George Fox University.
