Experiencing Interruptions?

Motion Picture

A young man, trapped in fractured realities, embarks on a quest to kill his father who is the cause of his dysfunctioning senses. His world shifts between two parallel lives: one, a chaotic journey to find his father, and another, a seemingly normal life where he is making a short film. Each time he loses consciousness, he transitions between these realities, unable to distinguish which is real.

Over time, he discovers that the chaotic world is actually the film being created in the "normal" reality. The protagonist’s grip on reality weakens as he approaches his father’s house in the chaotic world, where both the realities collide or converge and he makes a shocking discovery: he is both the character living out the story and the filmmaker directing it. He is the observer and the observed.

In a climactic moment, he calls "Cut!" and ending the film. But the true conclusion unfolds as his father opens the door, sending him to death.

Facing Yama, the god of death, the protagonist asks which of the two realities was true the one where he was searching for his father or the one where he was making the film. Yama unveils a multitude of realities in which the protagonist exists and poses a question: Which reality do you seek? Seeking the ultimate truth, the protagonist learns that no external reality holds it—the truth lies within.

This realization liberates him from the endless cycle of desires and illusions. Finally free, his saga concludes, leaving behind a meditation on the nature of perception, reality, and self.

Director Statement

I am an amateur film-maker and like to portray various oriental and western philosophies in post-modern context.
As a director, I’m interested in exploring introspective themes like the complexity of the human psyche, melancholy and existential dread. My work often incorporates Kafkaesque and surreal elements and at times are motivated by ideas from Upanishads and Buddhist scriptures.
