Lea Hejn is a documentary filmmaker with a focus on films with impactful environmental messages. She has worked on a range of projects ranging from the docu-drama filmatisation of Isabella Tree’s ‘Wilding’ book (2023) by Passion Pictures, and National Geographic, Disney + original series ‘Welcome to Earth’ featuring Will Smith (2021).
She has a passion for the protection of forests and both her début shorts tell the stories of the frontline defenders of these ecosystems in Brazil.
She has experience producing and directing character-led and wildlife shoots with minimal teams as well as complex multi-unit film shoots featuring famous contributors and directors.
She has shooting experience in multiple countries across Latin-America, Africa, North-America, US, UK and Europe.
