Moses Parlindungan Ompusunggu is an emerging audiovisual nonfiction artist from Indonesia who mainly uses essay film to communicate the complexity of reality relating to his native country.
As a recipient of the Chevening Scholarship from the UK government, he graduated with an MA in Ethnographic and Documentary Film from University College London in 2020.
His first two essay films, which he made when he studied at UCL, have won awards and been screened in various festivals across the world.
One of the films, memories/fortress (2020), was chosen as part of 20 most inventive Indonesian documentaries in the past 20 years by Festival Film Dokumenter (FFD) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia (2021).
