Morning, Travis
Sammy is upset with her ex-boyfriend Travis for posting nude photos of her online and confronts him after class. During the confrontation, Travis continues to mock Sammy, which provokes Sammy to plot revenge. Sammy then meets up with a man who, unbeknownst to her, is actually a hitman and describes what she wants him to do to Travis. The hitman becomes annoyed, but agrees to take the job as long as he gets paid. They set off and find Travis on his daily run. The hitman knocks him out, ties him up, and takes him to a secluded area in the Texas hill country where Sammy prepares for revenge. Chaos ensues as the hitman pulls a gun on Travis and Sammy attempts to attack the hitman with a rock.

I’m a filmmaker, writer, and entrepreneur in Austin, Texas. I co-founded and manage Escape Plan Productions, a video production company, and Createscape Coworking, a coworking office in East Austin for creative professionals. I've directed, produced, written, and edited a number of short films, music videos, and commercials. Additionally, my short films and music videos have screened in a number of festivals across Texas.
"Morning, Travis" is a project born from the collaborative spirit and passion for storytelling that defines Escape Plan Productions. When my friend Brian Mahood, who had begun acting, approached me with a script he co-wrote with his acting class peers, I knew this was a story I could help bring to life.
Shooting in the sweltering Austin summer of 2021 presented its own set of challenges, making for some grueling days and nights both on set and in the editing suite. Despite the heat and the long hours, the experience was immensely rewarding. The dedication and enthusiasm of our cast and crew shone through, and it's a testament to their hard work that we were able to create something special.
I'm particularly proud of the performances we captured; the actors brought a depth and authenticity to their roles that truly elevates the film. The score, audio mix, and color grading all contribute to the film's unique atmosphere, enhancing the narrative and emotional impact in ways that exceeded my expectations.
"Morning, Travis" is a testament to the power of collaboration and the magic that happens when passionate people come together to tell a story. I hope that audiences find as much enjoyment in watching it as we did in making it.
Thank you for joining us on this journey.
