The #MoreofPLUS 7 Day Film Contest is an innovative competition hosted by PLUS Positive a nonprofit organization for plus size adults and teens. At the core of this contest is the requirement that each entry must utilize plus size men (size 2x and up) and women (size 12 and up) as leading characters, and bring awareness to health issues we face today.
Contest is open to Atlanta Local filmmakers and Online Entries!
How to Enter:
1. Sign up for a free filmmaker account at FilmFreeway.com if you don’t already have one. In your account click “My Projects” then “Add a Project” to create a project. Title the project #MoreofPLUS and skip the rest of the form
2 Visit the listing for the #MoreofPLUS 7 Day Film Contest and click the “Submit Now” button. Follow the instructions to submit your "MoreofPLUS" project, select your week to compete, and pay your entry fee.
3. Once your chosen Competition week begins, PLUS Positive will send you a choice of genres, the health topic, and the required script line for your short film.
4. Make a short film utilizing plus size talent during the your chosen 7 Day period and upload the completed film to your "MoreofPLUS" project on FilmFreeway.com before the 7 Days end!
Entries will be judged in a two tier process; first by a group of PLUS+ Organizers to determine the finalists, then by a group of film professionals and the public. Each finalist team entries will win 2 VIP passes to PLUS PosiCon where the screening for the final judging and audience voting will take place. The winners will be determined and notified during the Closing Night Ceremony Sep 24, 2016.
The winning film will receive a gift card prizes, trophy, and become the PCOS Awareness Association’s official Public Service Announcement to be featured worldwide. Other awards will receive trophy, and certificate prizes. All team finalists will receive 2 VIP passes to the Screenings & Award Show. Awards include:
