The #MoreofPLUS 7 Day Film Contest is an innovative competition hosted by PLUS Positive a nonprofit organization for plus size adults and teens. At the core of this contest is the requirement that each entry must utilize plus size men (size 2x and up) and women (size 12 and up) as leading characters, and bring awareness to health issues we face today.

Contest is open to Atlanta Local filmmakers and Online Entries!

How to Enter:
1. Sign up for a free filmmaker account at FilmFreeway.com if you don’t already have one. In your account click “My Projects” then “Add a Project” to create a project. Title the project #MoreofPLUS and skip the rest of the form

2 Visit the listing for the #MoreofPLUS 7 Day Film Contest and click the “Submit Now” button. Follow the instructions to submit your "MoreofPLUS" project, select your week to compete, and pay your entry fee.

3. Once your chosen Competition week begins, PLUS Positive will send you a choice of genres, the health topic, and the required script line for your short film.

4. Make a short film utilizing plus size talent during the your chosen 7 Day period and upload the completed film to your "MoreofPLUS" project on FilmFreeway.com before the 7 Days end!

Awards & Prizes

Entries will be judged in a two tier process; first by a group of PLUS+ Organizers to determine the finalists, then by a group of film professionals and the public. Each finalist team entries will win 2 VIP passes to PLUS PosiCon where the screening for the final judging and audience voting will take place. The winners will be determined and notified during the Closing Night Ceremony Sep 24, 2016.

The winning film will receive a gift card prizes, trophy, and become the PCOS Awareness Association’s official Public Service Announcement to be featured worldwide. Other awards will receive trophy, and certificate prizes. All team finalists will receive 2 VIP passes to the Screenings & Award Show. Awards include:

Impact! Award – eligible for outstanding student and/or first film

Rules & Terms

The PLUS+ #MoreofPLUS 7 Day Film Contest commences on Thur July 21st at 9pm EST, and proceed until Sept 1, 2016. Every Thursday in Aug starting at 9pm EST, a new 7 day competition period begins! You choose which week you want to compete! All teams must complete their film work and upload the final cut no later than 9pm EST the following Thursday to be considered.

All creativity must take place during the 7 Days of the Contest. Any creative work in advance of the competition weekend is prohibited.

At the official start time of the Contest, each participating team will receive their assigned genres and details of the required elements that must appear in their film, such as a character, health awareness, and/or a line of dialogue.

To qualify as an Official Entry, each group's film must reflect the assigned genre, and must contain all the following required elements within the official time limit and prior to the credits.

- - Plus size male (Size 2x and up) and/or Plus size female (Size 12 and up) as the lead character
- - The required Character must be seen on-screen and it must be clear--either directly shown or by context--who the required character is.
- - The required Line of Dialogue must be used verbatim. It may be spoken, sung and/or written.
- - The topic of Health Awareness must be prominent and educate the audience of the issue.

TEAM ELIGIBILITY
All entrants in the contest must be a “team.” Teams must contain 2 -7 live people. Each team will designate a Team Leader. Student Entries MUST have an adult supervisor age 21 or older.
All will have a complete entry form and submitted the required entry fee in order to be entered and judged in each category. The following are not eligible: Staff and volunteers of PLUS+, the sponsors, and the immediate family members of each (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, and spouse or step of each) and those living in their same households.

DESIGNATED TEAM LEADERS:
If any group of individuals elects to collaborate on an Entry, they are required to designate 1-2 people to act as the agents of the group to enter the 7 Day Film Contest, agree to these Official Rules, sign the Team Leader's Agreement and accept the prize on behalf of the group. Neither PLUS Positive, nor any of the Contest Parties are liable for any disputes between collaborators arising out of or related to the Contest.
