Moonlight Soul

A young mother, Lauren, deals with mental health and attempts to make some semblance of order in her confused world. She remarries; Greg, a successful Attorney; patient loving, but jealous and insecure, nevertheless, he’s committed to the relationship even adopting Lauren’s 13-year-old daughter Victoria. Lauren desperately tries to rekindle her relationship with Victoria after being traumatized and separated from her biological father, Kenneth. Victoria secretly despises her mother’s demands not have any contact with her real-father as per a court-order. Despite the luxury lifestyle that Greg is providing, Lauren’s guilty conscience leads to frequent clandestine visits to an upstate penitentiary in an attempt to console and support her incarcerated childhood lover, Jack.

Director Biography - V Vansay Zanubon

Vansay is a Laotian/Thai-American filmmaker. A self-taught filmmaker and solely based on passion, he Wrote, Produced and Funded his first movie, "Color Blind." It was the official selection at the Pan African Film Festival (PAFF-LA), and nominated for Best Feature at the Jamaican Film & Music Festival in Kingston, Jamaica. It received a Premier Special Invitation in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The film was shown on Netflix and has been distributed on DVD around the world. The message of the film was powerful and caught the attention of School Districts around the country where it was shown to students as part of various curriculum in a classroom environment. This experienced was the 'Film School' he never had, and he has never looked back. Vansay's Directorial debut short film, "The Breakdown on Highway 7," which won thirteen awards in the festival circuit around the world, including Best Director. This prepared him to direct his first feature film, "Moonlight Soul," starring Clifton Powell, (All Eyez On Me, Ray). The film has been praised by industry professionals and audiences alike. It also earned him his first Producer Guild of America, Producer's Mark. Vansay is currently in pre-production on his second feature, 'Yellow Peril', a social horror, thriller, produced by Wendy Benge, (Life of Crime, Broken Vows).
