TERMS & RULES OF THE
MONTAŻ FILM FESTIWAL
1.GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1 Film Festival is organized by the Tapeworm Foundation based in Łódź (90-254) ul. Piramowicza 4/3 with KRS number: 0000504568, NIP: 7252075685, REGON: 10176784100000, which is the legal representative of all the issues of the Festival.
1.2 Montaż Film Festival 2018, hereinafter referred to as the Festival, will take place from 5 October to 7 October 2018 in the place indicated by the Organizer.
1.3 Montaż Film Festiwal is an event focused on the whole process of film postproduction. Our goal is to integrate the film environment, professional film education and supporting film culture.

PARTICIPATION IN THE FESTIVAL
1.5 Participation in our event is free of charge, except submission fees for the Main Competition, fees for Montaż Market expo zone for the exhibitors and exclusive pro workshops with separate regulations.
2. REGULATIONS OF THE MAIN COMPETITION
2.1. Films to the Main Competition can be submitted in the following categories: Fiction, Documentary, Music Video.
2.2. Films submitted to the Main Competition in the categories: Fiction, Documentary, must not be shorter than 5 minutes and not longer than 35 minutes. Films submitted to the Main Competition in the category Music Video must not be shorter than 1 minute and not longer than 10 minutes.
2.3. The submitted films cannot be older than 2 years, their edit should not end sooner than in 2016.
2.4. The submittant does not need to be an editor of the movie or the music video.
2.5. Submitting a film, video or trailer is done by official profile on the portal https://filmfreeway.com/festival/MontazFilmFestiwal festival. Submitting a film is synonymous with reading the contest regulations.
DEADLINES AND SUBMISSION FEES
2.6. From 1st of May till 1st of June 2018, submitting a film is free. From 1st June 2018, the Organizer establishes a $ 10.00 fee, from 1st July 2018, the Organizer establishes a $ 20.00 fee to be made through the filmfreeway.com portal using PayPal. The organizer declares that all the funds collected from the applications will be allocated to the organization of the event.
2.7. Filming education centers, otherwise known as film schools, are exempt from the registration fee. Independent film school students are asked to send an email with a scan of a valid student
card to: submissions@montazfilmfestiwal.pl
2.8. Final deadline for the submissions is on 1st of August 2018.
2.9. By August 15, 2018 the Organizer will inform about the first stage of preselection. The Organizer will send an email to those who's movies were selected to the second stage of preselection. A submission being selected to the second stage can be still cancel till 1st of September 2018.
2.10. By September 1, 2018 the Organizer will inform about the final selection. The Organizer will send an email to those who's movies were selected to the Main Competition. After this date selected submissions can no longer be canceled from participation in Main Competition.
2.11. By September 5, 2018 the Organizer will inform about the official selection of Main Competition on website www.montazfilmfestiwal.pl
TECHNICAL AND PROMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
2.12. Upon receipt of the qualification information, the submitter is obliged to send the film in the best quality (.mov PRORES 422 HQ /.mov H.264 codec (20 MB/s minimum bitrate) / mp4 (20 MB/s minimum bitrate) later than 10 days before the start of the festival.
2.13. With each qualified film the Festival must receive: a description of the film, photos from the film and the editor's presentation.
2.14. The films presented at the Festival are in the original language version with English subtitles. The organizer prefers copies with burn in English subtitles. Submitters are required to provide the organizers with a transcript in English in .srt / .txt format and a link to a film with English subtitles.
SELECTION COMMITTEE
2.15. The Organizer entrusts the film selection and inviting films for the Festival to the Festival Selection Committee.
2.16 The Selection Committee has a right to nominate particular films and music videos to the Main Competition by direct contact with creators.
2.17. The number of films qualified for the Main Competition will be determined by the Selection Committee. The main criterion of the Selection Committee will be film montage, analyzed in technical and artistic terms. The organizer will prepare the program of the festival.
2.18. The Selection Committee will evaluate the compatibility of the film with the selected category and the criteria listed above. The Selection Committee is not obliged to justify the selection decisions.
2.19. Of the films qualified for the Main Competition, by way of voting, the winner of Audience Award - the Golden Cut statuette will be elected.
2.20. The Festival does not bear the costs associated with the execution of the competition entries, the journey to the contest or the receipt of the award.
2.21. The condition for the selection is sending the film by the deadline through the platform indicated by the organizer. Submitting a film is equivalent to the fact that the submitter is entitled to submit and is entitled to all copyrights and related rights (producer, executive) or is authorized by the holder of such rights to act on his behalf and on his behalf within the scope of the submitting.
2.22. The Submitter declares that the film or music video is not subject to the rights of third parties and that such rights are not infringed. In the event that any entity claims to the Organizer with claims of infringement of third parties' rights (in particular copyright, executive, producer rights), the Applicant undertakes to fully satisfy their claims and to release the Organizer from any obligation to do so.
2.23. Submitting a film, a music video to the Festival is equivalent to granting the Organizer a free license to use the film in the manner specified in the Regulations and in a timely manner enabling the film, music video or trailer to participate in the Main Competition if it is qualified.
2.24. The festival reserves the right to discontinue, cancel or change the date of the Competition. If the Main Competition will be canceled Organizer is obligated to return Submitters fees being payed by them during the submission in a 14 days since the cancellation of the Main Competition.
2.25. The Main Competition, whose terms are determined by the Festival above, is not a "random game", a "lottery", a "mutual bet" or a "lottery", the outcome of which depends on the case (draw) within the meaning of art. 2 of the Act of 29 July 1992 on games of chance and mutual wagons (Journal of Laws No. 62, item 341, as amended).
3. PRIZES
3.1. The Main Competition Prize will be awarded on the basis of the decision of the Independent Jury.
3.2. The Prize in the Main Competition is the statuette "Golden Scissors”
3.3. The Audience Award will be awarded based on the number of votes specified on the special ballot cards. Only the films that qualify for the Main Competition will enter for the Audience Plebiscite.
3.4. The award in the Audience Plebiscite is the statuette "Golden Cut”
3.5. The prize is given to the editor of the film or music video. One person will be awarded a prize in each category.
4. PROMOTION AND PUBLICATIONS
4.1. The festival has the right to use fragments of the film (no longer than 1 minutes), trailers and photos from the film for promotional purposes and PR.
4.2. The festival has the right to include information about the film on the official Facebook website of the festival and all other promotional publications (including catalog, program, press release, website, etc.).
4.3. The festival reserves the right to use promotional materials both before, during and after the Festival.
5. OTHERS
5.1. In case of doubt, the final interpretation of the regulations belongs to the Organizer.

REGULAMIN
1. POSTANOWIENIA OGÓLNE
1.1. Organizatorem Montaż Film Festiwal jest Fundacja Viewer z siedzibą w Łodzi (90-254) ul. Piramowicza 4/3 o numerze KRS: 0000504568, NIP: 7252075685, REGON: 10176784100000 , która jest prawnym reprezentantem wszystkich spraw Festiwalu.
1.2. Montaż Film Festiwal 2018, zwany dalej Festiwalem, odbędzie się w dniach 5-7 października 2018 roku w miejscu wskazanym przez Organizatora.
1.3. Montaż Film Festiwal ma na celu integrację środowisk twórczych związanych z postprodukcją filmową, prezentowanie ich dorobku oraz technologii jaka jest obecnie wykorzystywana do procesów postprodukcyjnych.
1.4. Części składowe Montaż Film Festiwalu:
• Konkurs Główny
• Kino VR
• Plebiscyt Publiczności
• Wystawa Storyboardów
• Prezentacje i case study
• Montaż Market
UCZESTNICTWO W FESTIWALU
1.5. Uczestnictwo w festiwalu jest bezpłatne dla wszystkich, z wyjątkiem opłat za zgłoszenie filmów lub teledysków do Konkursu Głównego, opłat pobieranych od wystawców na Montaż Market oraz możliwych opłat za zamknięte, branżowe warsztaty, których będzie dotyczyć oddzielny regulamin. Wstęp na festiwal i udział w wydarzeniach towarzyszących jest darmowy.
2. REGULAMIN KONKURSU GŁÓWNEGO
2.1. Do Konkursu Głównego można zgłaszać filmy w następujących kategoriach: Fabuła, Dokument, Teledysk
2.2. Filmy zgłoszone do Konkursu w kategorii fabułą oraz dokument nie mogą trwać krócej niż 5 minut i nie więcej niż 35 minut. W kategorii teledysk zgłoszenie nie powinno być krótsze niż 1 min i nie dłuższe niż 10 min.
2.3. Nadesłane filmy nie mogą być starsze niż 2 lata tj. ich montaż nie powinien zakończyć się nie wcześniej niż w roku 2016.
2.4. Zgłaszający nie musi być montażystą danego filmu lub teledysku.
2.5. Zgłoszenie filmu lub teledysku odbywa się poprzez oficjalny profil festiwalu na portalu https://filmfreeway.com/festival/MontazFilmFestiwal. Zgłoszenie filmu jest równoznaczne z zapoznaniem się z regulaminem Konkursu.
TERMINY I PŁATNOŚCI
2.6. Od 1 maja do 1 czerwca 2018 zgłoszenie filmu jest bezpłatne. Od 1 czerwca do 1 lipca 2018 Organizator ustala opłatę w wysokości 10,00 $, której należy dokonać za pośrednictwem portalu filmfreeway.com przy użyciu płatności PayPal. Od 1 lipca do 1 sierpnia opłata zgłoszeniowa będzie wynosiła 20,00 $. Organizator oświadcza, że wszystkie środki zebrane z tytułu zgłoszeń zostaną przeznaczone na organizację wydarzenia.
2.7. Z opłaty zgłoszeniowej zwolnione są filmowe ośrodki edukacyjne nazywane inaczej szkołami filmowymi. Studenci zgłaszający swój film samodzielne proszeni są o przesłanie zdjęcia lub skanu ważnej legitymacji studenckiej na adres submissions@montazfilmfestiwal.pl
2.8. Ostateczny termin zgłaszania filmów Organizator ustala na 1 sierpnia 2018 roku.
2.9. 15 sierpnia Organizator poinformuje mailowo o wynikach pierwszego etapu selekcji tych twórców, których filmy zakwalifikowały się do drugiego etapu. Film zakwalifikowany do drugiego etapu selekcji może zostać wycofany z niej przez zgłaszającego nie później niż do 1 września 2018 roku.
2.10. 1 września Organizator poinformuje mailowo o wynikach drugiego etapu selekcji tych twórców, których filmy zakwalifikowały się do udziału w Konkursie Głównym. Po tym terminie filmy zakwalifikowane nie mogą zostać wycofane z listy konkursowej festiwalu.
2.11. 5 września Organizator ogłosi oficjalną selekcję Konkursu Głównego 2018 na stronie internetowej www.montazfilmfestiwal.pl
WYMAGANIA TECHNICZNE i PROMOCYJNE
2.12. Po otrzymaniu informacji o zakwalifikowaniu się filmu do konkursu, zgłaszający zostaje zobligowany do przesłania filmu w jak najlepszej jakości (format .mov w kodeku PRORES 422 HQ lub format .mov w kodeku H.264/ bitrate minimum 20 MB/s lub format mp4 bitrate minimum 20 MB/s) nie później niż 10 dni przed rozpoczęciem festiwalu.
2.13. Do każdego zakwalifikowanego filmu Festiwal musi otrzymać: opis filmu, fotosy z filmu oraz przedstawienie montażysty.
2.14. Na Festiwalu prezentowane są filmy w oryginalnej wersji językowej z angielskimi napisami. Organizator preferuje kopie z angielskimi napisami. Zgłaszający zobowiązani są udostępnić organizatorom listę dialogową w języku angielskim w formacie .srt/.txt oraz link do filmu z angielskimi napisami.
KOMISJA SELEKCYJNA
2.15. Selekcję filmów oraz zapraszanie filmów na Festiwal Organizator powierza Festiwalowej Komisji Selekcyjnej pod przewodnictwem dyrektora programowego festiwalu.
2.16. Komisja Selekcyjna ma prawo z własnej inicjatywy nominować filmy i teledysku do udziału w Konkursie Głównym poprzez bezpośredni kontakt z twórcami.
2.17. Komisja selekcyjna będzie oceniać zgodność filmu z wybraną kategorią i wyżej podanymi kryteriami. Komisja Selekcyjna nie jest zobligowana do uzasadniania decyzji selekcyjnych.
2.18. Ilość filmów zakwalifikowanych do Konkursu Głównego zostanie określona przez Komisję Selekcyjną. Głównym kryterium komisji selekcyjnej będzie montaż filmowy analizowany pod względem technicznym i artystycznym.
2.19. Spośród filmów zakwalifikowanych do Konkursu Głównego, drogą głosowania zostanie wyłoniony laureat Nagrody Publiczności- statuetki Złota Sklejka.
2.20. Festiwal nie ponosi kosztów związanych z realizacją prac konkursowych, dojazdem na konkurs czy odbiorem nagrody.
2.21. Warunkiem dopuszczenia do selekcji jest nadesłanie filmu w terminie przez wskazaną przez Organizatora platformę. Zgłoszenie filmu jest równoznaczne z tym, że zgłaszający jest uprawniony do dokonania zgłoszenia i że przysługują mu wszelkie prawa autorskie i prawa pokrewne (producenckie, wykonawcze) lub jest upoważniony przez dysponenta tych praw do działania w jego imieniu i na jego rzecz w zakresie objętym zgłoszeniem.
2.22. Zgłaszający oświadcza, że film lub teledysk nie jest obciążony prawami osób trzecich i praw takich nie narusza. W razie wystąpienia przez jakikolwiek podmiot do Organizatora z roszczeniami o naruszenie praw osób trzecich ( w szczególności praw autorskich, wykonawczych, producenckich), Zgłaszający zobowiązuje się zaspokoić w całości słuszne roszczenia tych osób i zwolnić Organizatora z obowiązku wszelkich świadczeń z tego tytułu.
2.23. Zgłoszenie filmu lub teledysku na Festiwal jest równoznaczne z udzieleniem Organizatorowi nieodpłatnej zgody na korzystanie z filmu w sposób określony w Regulaminie i w stosownym czasie umożliwi udział filmu lub teledysku w Konkursie Głównym, jeżeli ten zostanie do niego zakwalifikowany.
2.24. Festiwal zastrzega sobie prawo do przerwania, odwołania lub zmiany daty Konkursu. W przypadku całkowitego odwołania Konkursu Organizator zwróci zgłaszającym koszty poniesione w ramach opłaty zgłoszeniowej w ciągu 14 dni od odwołania Konkursu.
2.25. Konkurs Główny, którego warunki zostały określone przez Festiwal powyżej, nie jest „grą losową”, „loterią fantową”, „zakładem wzajemnym” ani „loterią promocyjną”, których wynik zależy od przypadku (przeprowadzenie losowania) w rozumieniu art. 2 ustawy z dnia 29 lipca 1992 r. o grach losowych i zakładach wzajemnych (Dz. U. nr 62, poz. 341 z póz. zm.).
3. NAGRODY
3.1. Nagroda w Konkursie Głównym zostanie przyznana na podstawie decyzji Niezależnego Jury.
3.2. Nagrodą w Konkursie Głównym jest statuetka „Złote Nożyce”.
3.3. Nagroda w Plebiscycie Publiczności zostanie przyznana na podstawie liczby głosów określonej na specjalnych kartach do głosowania. Do Plebiscytu Publiczności przystępują tylko filmy zakwalifikowane do Konkursu Głównego.
3.4. Nagrodą w Plebiscycie Publiczności jest statuetka „ Złota Sklejka”
3.5. Nagrodę otrzymuje montażysta danego filmu lub teledysku. W każdej kategorii zostanie nagrodzona jedna osoba.
4. PROMOCJA I PUBLIKACJE
4.1. Festiwal ma prawo do użycia fragmentów filmu (nie dłuższych niż 1 minuta), trailerów i fotosów z filmu do celów promocyjnych i PR.
4.2. Festiwal ma prawo do umieszczania informacji o filmie na oficjalnej stronie facebookowej festiwalu oraz we wszystkich innych publikacjach promocyjnych (w tym katalog, program, informacje prasowe, strona internetowa itp.).
4.3. Festiwal zastrzega sobie prawo do korzystania z materiałów promocyjnych zarówno przed, podczas jak i po zakończeniu Festiwalu.
5. INNE
5.1. W przypadku wątpliwości ostateczna interpretacja regulaminu należy do Organizatora.
