Theme
Each year the Award will deal with a new and relevant theme. For 2024/25 the theme is the Territory in all its most significant aspects.
Participation
• The registered authors must present a video dance work of a maximum duration of 1 minute and 30 seconds, in which the connection between the landscape, the territory, its historical-social fabric and dance emerges.
Deadline
• Application Deadline: April 15, 2025
Prerequisites
• Be of legal age.
• Maximum duration of the work: 1 minute and 30 seconds.
• Hashtag: #LiberaConnessione.
Award
• The winner must be present in telematic mode where he will present his work as will be communicated on April 29, 2025.
Regulation
1. Recipients
• The competition is open to dancers, choreographers, students, writers, directors, videomakers, musicians and sound designers who wish to express themselves through the creation of innovative video dance works, highlighting aspects, relationships and connections between the territory, its history, nature, man and dance.
2. Originality
• The work may already exist and not be produced solely to participate in the call, but must be adaptable to the characteristics of the call in question. The author must self-certify the originality of the work and guarantee that it is his exclusive property, assuming responsibility that it does not belong to third parties.
3. Registration
• Authors must register by providing their name, surname, tax code and address, along with a brief personal/artistic profile and curriculum notes.
4. Assessment
• A commission composed of the Artistic Director Patrizia Campassi, a film director, a social media manager, a choreographer and the Mayor of Fubine will evaluate the works.
• The evaluation criteria are:
1. Artistic/expressive evaluation
2. Technical evaluation and best direction
3. Evaluation of best idea and content
4. Evaluation of best synthesis ability
5. Evaluation of the best relational aspect between contents, territory and dance
• The evaluations will be expressed in tenths. The work with the best score will represent the 1st Libera Connessione 2024/25 Prize
The jury's decision is FINAL AND UNQUESTIONABLE.
5.Communication
• The top three will be made public and the winner will be contacted by email and then by phone. The winner will undertake to present the work electronically on April 29, 2025.
6. Winner's Obligations
• The winner is required to attend (via telematics) the awards ceremony. In the event of problems with the chosen work (e.g. plagiarism, or unavailability of the winner), the jury will declare the second place winner.
• All participants cede the rights to use their videos to the competition organization, which may use the works for promotional and cultural purposes, always respecting the moral rights of the authors.
7. Expenses
• If the winner wishes to attend with the Commission, the travel and accommodation expenses to participate in the awards ceremony will be at his/her expense.
8. Ambassador of the Award
• The winner of the Libera Connessione Award will undertake to publish the second edition of the Award until the new winner of the 2025/26 edition is nominated.
