Director Biography - TJ Walkup

Film Maker TJ Walkup the
“Iconoclast”, Book Illustrator,
Activist, Husband & Father.
Born 1970 In Napa Ca TJ Walkup has been
working in television & media for well over 30
years. Award winning & nominated for cable
television, worked on countless films & indie
projects. TJ has sold to every major affiliate as a
stringer. He has produced, directed & shot shorts
about important history & social issues. He has been a judge for many years for the Kid’s in
Film festival & his work has also shown on many festival circuits for many years as a
contributor to other indie film makers films that win awards & go out for distribution. Working in
the Amazon jungle to shooting for brands like National Geographic, Discovery Health TLC,
History Channel, ZDF Germany & Kei Japan & Hallmark to name a few.
One great thing about this career is how he have been able to share it with his wife & child.
Christina edits, produces, directs & does great voice over work & daughter Aurora just joined in
with some voice acting for a short horror film “Mona Geisha” a joint effort with Artist Leo
Rodes, out in time for Halloween 2023.
“My favorite work is helping people tell their own stories in history & share what I observe.
Making a difference in the conversation around art & culture, environment & social justice. As a
film maker I wish to invite people into connect because that is often times how we move
forward.”
