Mel got their professional start in Staten Island, NY. Their talents and unwavering dedication led to a flourishing career in digital media.

After completing a BA in Cinema Production, Mel collaborated with local filmmakers and creatives to produce videos showcasing Staten Island's vibrant communities. They went on to curate local film festivals and held multi-hyphenate Director/Producer/Editor roles with short films like COFFEE & SISTERS, THE LETTER J, and THE NOTHING.

At every stage of production, Mel Pellicano fearlessly pushes boundaries and consistently strives to create impactful narratives that leave a lasting impression no matter the budget size.

This queer trans love story explores themes of forgiveness, self-acceptance, and the enduring power of friendship.

As the director of "Moment x Moment," my creative vision is rooted in authentic storytelling that breaks traditional boundaries. As a trans filmmaker, I bring a unique perspective often overlooked in mainstream cinema.

My approach focuses on universal character development, moving beyond common narratives of struggle in trans and queer stories. "Moment x Moment" deliberately departs from expectations, offering a fresh perspective on life and relationships. The visual language emphasizes the emotive impact of cinematography, chosen meticulously for an immersive audience experience. It's a heartfelt exploration, capturing life's intricacies in a compelling and relatable way.
