The Momentum exhibition works with Oklahoma artists ages 30 and younger in a venue created specifically for them, helping them gain experience and meet new audiences. Momentum Ada is a brand new film and new media festival set to take place in Ada, Oklahoma in May 2017. It is presented by the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC) in partnership with East Central University (ECU).

The event will be held on the ECU campus, as well as various satellite locations throughout downtown Ada. Admission will be free and open to the public.

ECU will also be hosting a featured presentation by filmmaker/artist John Waters to kick off the weekend on May 19. That event is sponsored through the university and will be ticketed.

Momentum Ada will be curated by Samantha Dillehay (New Media) and Bryan Cardinale-Powell (Film).

The curators will select awardees for cash prizes. Total cash prizes are TBD by event sponsorship. Past Momentum exhibitions have offered up to $1,500 in cash prizes.
