Tamika J. Spaulding is a writer, director and producer living in Chicago, IL. She currently serves as Executive Producer for We Still Teach, an innovative educational concept created and launched during the coronavirus crisis. The show puts teachers on TV to help bridge the digital divide during the pandemic by broadcasting directly into the homes of students. When she's not creating, she works as a business/government affairs consultant, meaning she gets paid to tell people what to do. She also moonlights as a stand up comedian. Go figure.
As a first time filmmaker, Mojana will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm proud to have been able to reimagine this local folklore tale and film in beautiful Cartagena, Colombia, where this legend was born. I truly believe the magical spirit of this goddess was with the cast and crew for this film and it made for an amazing experience.
