Director Statement

When I was very young, my grandmother committed suicide and last year, I have lost two very close friends who also committed suicide …. While thinking of all of the loved ones I lost during my life on this unpredictable world, I got the idea to experiment with images make something which maybe somehow hypnotic, disturbing, poetic in a sense, something that could be my visual eulogy to all the loved one I lost. I filmed a fellow filmmakers and painter and her daughter and I mixed all the images of her with some other random images I have already filmed and It took me three months of editing to come up with this short “Mnemosyne”.
