Director Biography - Jenny Nguyen Nelson

Jenny Nguyen Nelson (she/her) is entering her third year with Brown Trinity’s MFA Acting program. Though she’d like to say she spends her free time reading poetry, you can actually find her binge watching old episodes of Real Housewives (any city). Director Statement

In my art, I always crave to find space for humor, love, and tenderness. This piece was created in the fall of 2020. At this moment, I had longed to bring the beautiful mixed race actors of our program together for not only a space of joyful creation, but also to take advantage of the opportunity to step out of our zoom boxes and explore our connection to nature and each other. Filmed handheld with my iPhone, I wanted to make as theatrical of a piece as I could with a oner so as to focus mostly on the artists and their stunning ability to play with each other.
