My passion is preserving local history and heritage native to the Arkansas Ozarks and Buffalo River area one project at a time.
Raised on Steel Creek up the holler from the Buffalo River I always had a love for the outdoors and stories from my elders. The woods and creeks were my playground. I learned a deep respect for nature and my surroundings. My family has lived on the same farm for over 131 years. 50 years ago the Buffalo National River was created as the United States first national river. This land is special. I want to share the stories that express just how unique this area is.
I'm interested in documenting the people from my region in a hope to preserve our sound, our mannerisms and our stories. I've created the Remnants Project a non profit heritage preservation group with a mission to preserve our local culture one story at a time. I hope my projects due justice to those who share their stories with me.
