Experiencing Interruptions?

Miss This

2020 was an incredibly painful year, universally -- it was also the backdrop for the next generation's coming-of-age. "Miss This" is a distinctive window into the pandemic, social injustice, and future, all through the experience of a singular American high school.

Director Statement

In the United States, success in the arts has historically favored white, male, cishet creators; this is especially apparent in the film industry. Though progress is being made (yay for Chloe Zhao!), the business has a long, long way to go. I hope to be a part of the shift, ushering in an entertainment industry that uplifts, values, and provides space for the stories of a diverse range of people. Whether I’m writing, directing, or editing, grounding my work in empathy is crucial. Art has the potential to change hearts and minds -- I hope to harness that influence to make the world a marginally softer place.
