Experiencing Interruptions?

Misophonia

The trill of an alarm clock. The drops of a tranquilizer in a glass of water. A razor scratches the shaving foam on the skin. Sounds. Obsessive, invasive, amplified. It is a pain. A sharp pain in the ear.
Zeno walks in the forest with a microphone, a tape recorder and a pair of headphones. He collects the sounds of nature, the wind, the leaves, his steps. And the steps of someone else chasing him.

Director Biography - Marco Brunelli

This is my directorial debut. Shot on a zero budget in just two days in Molise, center Italy. I've never attended film school, I worked in a recording studio in the past, the passion for photography and visual arts led me to a turning point where I did a bit of soul searching. Suffering from misophonia, the best way to treat it was to make a short film, where sound is maybe the main character.
I want to point out that all the sounds were made in post production, I did not have a boom operator on set for budget reasons.

The aim was to create something new a gripping and rounded story where the audience is involved with the main character. By blurring the lines between reality, insanity, and the sounds, the audience is put in the main character shoes and taken on a disorientating and disturbing journey.
Can you stand till the end of the short??
