Misconception

A psychological drama that explores the tortured mind of Lucille.
Once a gregarious and free-spirited young woman, Lucille has eroded over the years into the disheartened and repressed wife of arrogant and dismissive Ali Park.
The story opens as Ali arrives inexcusably late for their daughter, Olivia’s 22nd birthday dinner. The exchanges between the couple are raw as Ali responds callously to his wife and daughter. The family dynamics deteriorate further and Ali calls for the support of Dr. Patel, a family psychotherapist.
Lucille expresses her sense of despondency and powerlessness to the therapist as she becomes maternally enmeshed with Olivia. The story reaches a disturbing climax as we discover that Olivia does not exist other than in Lucille’s mind.
