Mirage

Mirage is an experimental visual poem centred around depression and overcoming inner turmoil. The film follows the inner monologue of a character as they interrogate their own emotions. This is visualised through the visuals, poetry and dance. The film aims to draw attention to mental health and connect with others who may be battling with depression.

Director Biography - Justine Patterson

Justine is a South African filmmaker who's passion for the craft has driven her to work in a variety of platforms, genres and skill sets. From commercials to short films, editing to directing Justine has chosen to explore numerous avenues in which she can express her creativity and desire for compelling storytelling. This is illuminated through her debut short film “Keep Needing Me”(which she directed and edited) that claimed various awards.
