Director Biography - Miguel David Norzagaray López

Sociologist, committed to the emancipating social causes and lover of the cinematographic narrative. He was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, so his gaze was formed between the desert, the sea, the mountains and the border. Life took him on different paths, between the North and the South, which whispered images and consciousness. A believer in cinematographic power as a tool for social awareness, he attended the Film Production Workshop at the Arte7 school in the former DF(Mexico City), where he participated in the production of 16 cineminutos and collaborated in different independent projects, such as the 48 Hour Rally Film Project 2011, to name a few. A year later, the nostalgia for heat, ocean waves and family, took him back to Hermosillo where he participated in the documentary film diploma "Visions in the desert II" of the Sonoran Institute of Culture. In 2013, he received the support of the State Fund for Culture and the Arts of the State of Sonora(FECAS) for audiovisual material category and the result of this is the short titled "Border Looks"/Miradas Fronterizas that arises from the need to give voice to those who have been excluded of the voices that tell what is lived and suffered in the reality of the border.
