Director Statement

"Mini-Croissant" is a thrilling plunge into the bizarre and unpredictable. Conceived as a short thriller, this film was born from a desire to explore the unsettling moments when reality slips into absurdity. In just three minutes, we invite the audience to question the nature of identity, reality, and the spaces we inhabit.

The story begins innocently enough—an ordinary man lounging on his sofa while his girlfriend showers. The intrusion of a stranger with shopping bags claiming ownership of the house shatters this tranquility, spiraling the protagonist into a perplexing confrontation. The tension escalates swiftly, culminating in a surreal clash that leaves both characters and viewers questioning what is real.

Our aim with "Mini-Croissant" is to captivate and disorient. By the end, we want the audience to be as baffled as the protagonist, wondering about the thin line between the familiar and the uncanny. The short runtime and zero-budget production forced us to be creative with our storytelling, relying on sharp dialogue, tight editing, and evocative performances to convey the story's intense, disquieting atmosphere.
