Miners Whiskey
LOGLINE
It's dangerous to ask too many questions when alcohol and spirits are involved.
STORY SYNOPSIS
Ted Gibraltar has been writing for the New York Times for most of his career as a high profile investigative reporter. When the boss's nephew joins The Times, Teddy is demoted to reporting a fluff investigative piece on haunted buildings. Deflated and embarrassed by the new position, he takes it on half-heartedly, not knowing that too many questions, whiskey, and the past can all catch up to him in a deadly way.

Shannon's journey in storytelling has taken her from being an on-air radio personality to a television anchor/reporter then back to school for a film/screenwriting/history major. She is always open to the creative process and possibilities and the next adventure.
I have always been fascinated by history and the truth IS stranger than fiction, which can make for a great story! There is an urban legend in Louisville, where I live that this restaurant/bar is haunted by an old miner. There was also a story of some miners that were trapped in this restaurant. It made me wonder how they came to be trapped in this bar? This story organically came out of these two stories and a hypothetical back story to tell the tale of Miners Whiskey.
There was some inspirational advice offered from Director Steven Soderbergh at a Sundance Film Festival regarding making a film. "Finish it. That puts you ahead of 90% of the rest of the filmmakers."
