Director Biography - Charis Uster

Charis (she/they) is a multidisciplinary filmmaker based in Berlin, Germany. At this point in her career, Charis likes to stick to writing about what she knows. Her work can be described as a celebration of millennial culture, subverting genres through the female (whatever that means) and queer gaze. It is sometimes comedic, sometimes heartbreaking and often terrifying.
Her dream as a filmmaker is to direct a feature film about the many facets of growing up in rural Germany.
Charis is also the founder of nftreats.art, a blockchain start-up creating a censorship free space for erotic artists and adult content creators. She was recently listed as one out of 10 aspiring filmmakers under the age of 28 by Wired Italy.
Charis loves paneer cheese and wishes she had a cat.

Director Statement

Milkshake is my directorial debut produced by Erika Lust and XConfessions. The film is a queer take on “MMF” threesomes - I wanted to shoot a threesome scene that shows pleasure and respect between ALL parties involved and I wanted to shed light on the need for male bisexual representation in porn.
