Director Statement

"Milk Money" is a story about people using the tools available to them to make something larger than themselves. As a project, "Milk Money" was a similar experience for us. We followed our hearts, took leaps of faith and put tremendous trust in each other as we took on what was, for us at the time, a Goliath.

Told at a time when cannabis was more strictly regulated than it is today, "Milk Money" tells the story of two friends serving a badly neglected niche market with medical marijuana sold through the All-American facade of a door-to-door milk delivery service.

The film highlights the impact of the real world consequences of arbitrary, merciless anti-cannabis legislation and how those laws target the most vulnerable, and focuses on the things ordinary people can do to make their communities better.
