Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Edgard De La Cruz's passion for filmmaking started at a young age. Whether working as director, cinematographer or editor, Edgard was motivated to express himself through making films. He made films throughout high school and managed to get selected at the prestigious Los Angeles Film Festival, under the "High School Shorts" category. This event solidified Edgard's motivation to become a professional filmmaker. He received his bachelor's degree from the California State University of Long Beach. Since then he has worked on productions for major studios such as Universal, Warner Brothers, Netflix and CBS.
Miguel Y Eva is Edgard's passion project. He draws his inspiration from real life, as he grew up in a Mexican household with immigrant parents. He is deeply inspired by Latin cinema.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. I've had the idea of "Miguel y Eva" for years, and with the help of some very talented people, I was able to make it come to life.
My film "Miguel Y Eva" studies the themes of greed, lust, and betrayal. I grew up watching Mexican cinema and telenovelas, and now, as an adult, I truly enjoy the works of Alejandro Iñárritu, Alfonso Cuaron, and Quentin Tarantino.
I hope my film inspires someone to grab a camera and make films!
