"Midnight, The Stars and You" is a short film that explores the themes of regret, forgiveness, and the importance of human connection. Richard Davis, a man diagnosed with a late-stage brain tumor, finds himself reflecting on his life and seeking redemption.

Upon receiving the devastating news from his doctor, Richard is confronted with his mortality and the limited time he has left. Seeking solace, he frequents a flower shop where he encounters Elise, a young woman who unknowingly becomes the catalyst for his self-discovery.

As Richard's health deteriorates, he collapses in the flower shop, and Elise rushes to his aid, displaying genuine concern and compassion for this stranger. Richard wakes up in a hospital room, where Elise shares the items she found in his jacket—a speech, a drawing she made, and a photograph of herself as a child with her mother.

Their interactions lead Richard to reveal himself as Elise's long-lost father, hoping to reconcile and make amends. Skeptical and resistant, she confronts Richard about the pain his abandonment caused her. Despite her emotional wounds, Elise hesitates, expressing her need for time to process her feelings.

The film ends on a bittersweet note, In his final moments Richard expresses his longing for a renewed bond with Elise, dreaming of her, As he spends his final moments laying in a hospital bed.

Drawing from his personal experiences and observations, Christopher Hernandez aims to capture the emotional journey of forgiveness and personal transformation in his work. Christopher is an indigenous person with migrant parents from Oaxaca, Mexico, and carries the rich, cultural heritage and traditions of his ancestral roots.

Growing up in a multicultural environment, he developed a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of diverse communities and their stories. From an early age, Christopher was drawn to the power of storytelling as a means to foster understanding, empathy, and change.

As he matured, Christopher developed a keen interest in filmmaking. He recognized its power to tell stories, evoke emotions, and foster empathy. Through the lens of a camera, he discovered a means to shed light on the struggles, triumphs, and journeys of those whose stories often remain untold. It was this passion that led Christopher to pursue a career in film and become a director.

Driven by a desire to bring marginalized voices to the forefront, Christopher embarked on a mission to tell stories that resonate with audiences on a profound level.
