The Midlands Movies Awards is an annual awards ceremony for Midlands films and filmmakers. This annual event is planned to take place at Hansom Hall in Leicester on Saturday 2nd March 2019.

WHAT DO I DO?

We're looking to consider a whole range of Midlands-centric films, so if your work fulfils the terms and conditions listed below then please submit your local film using the forms on this page. Work can be submitted in as many of the 16 categories as you like but please consider which ones best fit your film where possible. It is also important to confirm your regional (Midlands) connection for the film you are nominating.

The final nominations will be announced in January 2019 and winners announced at the ceremony in early March 2019.

We had a great time at the awards and met some other wonderful creatives. Well presented, well co-ordinated and well attended (even with the snow storms). My only disappointment was not seeing proper examples of the nominees' works before the awards, some of which I was unable to find once I got home too.
Hopefully we will be invited back to future events.

    Thank you Sarah.

Appreciate the feedback. Sadly we were unable to put on many of the films nominated owing to limited resources of time and budget.

We did get to showcase as many as we could via the 2 showreels -

We'll definitely get more credits and info out about the filmmakers in year 2 for sure!

We had such an amazing time at the Midlands Movies Awards! It was set up incredibly well, a lot of time and effort went into making it a special evening for the film makers involved. We picked up the Best Special FX Award for The RockMan. The guests were looked after really well, with drinks and snacks and even a goodie bag each and some tables treats too! I hope to see this festival continue for many more years and I will without a doubt be submitting again! Highly recommended!

A tremendous effort was obviously involved in putting this together and it was held in a great venue, with top-quality judging and a compere presiding over proceedings. Great to be considered and involved in this celebration of Midlands talent. Our film, ninetofive, won Best Animated Film.
