Microwavable
An artist-moving image piece that revolves around a performance act of a person microwaving themself. The film takes place in a constructed interior of a microwave. I start the film by using my physicality to slowly hunch up into a ball while rotating on the microwave plate. Then, I am placed inside a silver cocoon that shoots out condiments onto the walls creating a visceral mess and lastly, I emerge from the cocoon wrapped in a tinfoil. whilst bleeding and burnt.

Hi I'm Louis, I practice artist moving image.
I primally explore themes around self-destruction, disgust and Body.
I hope you enjoy my works :)
I am Louis Heywood Heath. I primarily create artist moving image pieces themed around self-destruction, body, and disgust. Using striking imagery and paired with discordant sound, I attempt to create feelings of discomfort in the audience. Surrealist inspired close-ups help to create a sense of claustrophobic dream-like cinema that focuses on our own relationship with our own bodies, its fragility and destruction, forcing the viewer to question its malleability.
