Rémi Damecour and Pascal Phaneuf have been writing screenplays since they met in class at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) in 2016. They wanted so badly to bring their writing to life that they began to produce varied short films themselves with the help of Rémi’s cousin, Émile Rizk, and a few collaborators. They also registered their humble film production company, Les Productions Michel & Michel S.E.N.C. in 2020.

From tragic comedy to drama or horror, their main interest is to give substance to their characters, regardless of the genre. They believe, as taught in their scriptwriting classes, that a good movie should be enjoyable as much for the “analytical spectator” than for “the guy that just entered the room and knows nothing about the plot”. In other words, all levels of attention should be fulfilled.
