Michael and Elias are born and raised in Bavaria, Germany. With a life long friendship and their passion for all kinds of media work they decided in 2017, to put their student money together, buying a GoPro camera, a drone and a one way ticket to Spain. “One way ticket and two cameras” was born.
Few years down the line and several video productions later, they found themselves shooting a full feature documentary in Ghana, West Africa. Without much experience in filming on a cinematic level nor travelling West Africa - in retrospect, the journey of the movie was exceptional but the concept remained the same: a “One way ticket and two cameras”, 6 weeks time and everything DIY; the editing, scoring, coloring and pictures. Achieving authenticity was the main objective.
Today the production company Mierbeth-Herzog is an independent media house with a variety of projects in arts and business.
