Michael Dupret (born in 1980) is a french film, documentary and music video director. He’s has been working as a director for 16 years now.
He worked for many TV channels ( RTL Group, MTV, EXPN, M6, France Télévision..etc), many brands ( Audi, Quiksilver, Rossignol, Red Bull, Universal Music...etc) and with different artists (Actor : David Hallyday, Alain Delon, Gong Li, Laura Smet..., Singer/Musician : Orelsan, Julien Doré, Run DMC, Johnny Hallyday, David Guetta, Xzibit...etc). He also shot a lot of documentary portrait (Jimmy Carter, Johnny Hallyday, Bo Van Spielbeeck, Benoit Debie, Orelsan, Julien Doré, Lost Frequencies...)
He earned the Strategies Grand Prize award for the best sport TV campaign in 2008 for Rossignol « The Pure Mountain Company ».
Now he is moving to fiction and narrative stories with directing his first short movie : #No_Filter. The film will have a World Premiere at the world known Festival : BIFFF / Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival.
As a former freeskiing competitor he also shot a lot of extrem sport programs and films all over the world and he likes to adapt that way of filming to other productions : " When you’re filming those kinds of films you’re totally in sync with the rider, he’s risking his life, you only have one chance to get the perfect shot, to capture that perfect moment. You can apply that dynamic style of filming to everything, it's a great way to get something very special”
