Michael has been a filmmaker since he was twelve years old, writing scripts and making small films with friends, starting on Super 8 film and old 3/4-inch videotape cameras. His directing experience covers 20 years of stage productions and more than a dozen credits for music videos, commercials, and narrative short films since starting Bombshell Studios in 2009. His films have been accepted and won awards in film festivals nationwide (i.e., “FACES”, “No-Good Maxine”, “Elimination).

Four years in the military with both the 82nd Airborne and 101st Airborne divisions provided him with strong leadership opportunities and the chance to work with a wide array of people. Michael has also held marketing and web-design positions that have given him an inside look at industries playing a key role in modern movie distribution.

He holds an MFA from the Professional Acting Training Program at Playmaker’s Repertory Company and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA in Theatre from the University of Missouri at Columbia.

He lives in Hillsborough with his wonderful wife and business partner in Bombshell Studios.
