酬神 Gods’ Country

新冠疫情三年後,民間傳統廟會活動恢複常態,鄉村戲班又開始搭班活躍于廟戲演唱。本片以攝影師劉莉數十年跟拍鄉村川戲班子生存狀況爲線索,通過戲班在廟會演唱期間所涉及到的壹些人和事爲載體,壹方面呈現四川地區民間戲班的生存現狀,另壹方面也從中折射當下村民的傳統習俗、民間文化以及信仰崇拜等層面的精神依止。
Three years after the COVID-19 pandemic, traditional folk temple fair activities have returned to normal, and rural opera troupes have started to perform in temple stages. With photographer Liu Li following the survival status of the troupes for decades as the clue, this film presents the living conditions of the folk opera troupes in Sichuan region through some people and things involved in the troupe's performances at the temple fair. It also reflects the traditional customs, folk culture and spiritual persistence of the current villagers in terms of belief and worship.

Director Biography - Gang Zhao

趙剛,紀錄片導演,中國電視藝術家協會會員。其主要作品情況:《民間戲班》(2013年)榮獲2013第56屆德國萊比錫國際紀錄片電影節評委會大獎。《上書院》(2010年)獲2016香港華語紀錄片節短片季軍;入選2010年加拿大新亞洲獨立影像展。《冬日》(2004年)入圍第十三屆法國FIPA國際電影節;2005年在美國五所大學巡回展播。
Zhao Gang, a documentary film director and a member of Chinese Artists Association. documentary film. Filmography: A Folk Troupe (2013) FIPRESCI PRIZE of 56th International Leipzig Festival for Documentary Film, Germany. Shangshu Academy(2010)was selected for New Asia Film Festival(Cinevolution Media Arts Society in Canada). The sun in winter (2004) was selected for 13th French FIPA International Movie and Television Festival.

四川唱廟戲的曆史已有數百年,廟會活動更是源遠流長。川西壩子上每年最常見的廟會有觀音會,土地會,清明會和財神會。每逢廟會期間,村廟的會首就會把廟子累計收入的功德款用來請本地的戲班子,來給菩薩們唱幾天大戲,壹來還願感恩各種菩薩有求必應的保佑,二來豐富村民們的傳統聚會活動。廟裏的菩薩、唱戲的班子和看戲的村民無不皆大歡喜、其樂融融。

Singing opera for temple in Sichuan has a history of hundreds of years.Temple fair activities have a long history.The most common annual Temple fairs in western Sichuan are for the Guanyin Bodhisattva, the Earth Bodhisattva, the Wealth Bodhisattva and Ancestor in the Qingming Festival. During the temple fair, the head of the Temple fair would use the accumulated income of the temple to invite the local troupe to perform for the Bodhisattvas for several days.On the one hand, it also wish to give thanks for the blessings of various Bodhisattvas, Second, to enrich the villagers' traditional gathering activities.The Bodhisattvas in the temple, the performers and the villagers watching the opera are very cheerful with the satisfaction of all.
