Director Statement

This film is based on my own relationship with my father after he fell ill in the winter of 2020. I wished to revisit that moment in time and capture what it felt like being stripped away from the possibility of seeing your family in the hospital due to the pandemic, and the fear of losing a loved one.

I also wished to show a bilingual view of families in Italy.

This film was made possible thanks to the support of a local emergency clinic and a small crew in the city of Genoa, Italy.
