Director Biography - Bobby Barbacioru

Bobby Barbacioru was born in Bucharest and grew up during the tumultuous transition of post-communist Romania. He has discovered and honed his entrepreneurial skills in a highly competitive environment where creativity meets commerce.

His introduction to the film industry happened at an early age, when he was offered the opportunity to work on the set of Anthony Minghella's big budget production of Cold Mountain (starring Jude Law, Nicole Kidman). He then became involved with Studios in Bucharest where he was part of several projects including Caved In, Seed of Chucky, Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj in the transportation department, moving up to Transportation Coordinator. Bobby subsequently served as Transpo Coordinator on films such as Timber Falls, The Brothers Bloom, Stag Night and Night Train.

In 2012, Bobby expanded his skillset and parlayed his production knowledge and relationships into the creative realm, writing, producing and directing two well-received short films, Lela and The Wind of Change. This effort culminated in 2014, when Bobby directed his first feature-length movie, Hotel of the Damned, starring Louis Mandylor and Peter Dobson.
